1951 mercury woodie owner says "sell it" (more photos of car as it looks now will be uploaded tomorrow) all rust has been repaired. New $15,000 wood kit fit to car. Car is 100% complete. Runs, drives and stops. This '51 mercury woody was parked for the last 25 years and is 100% complete. It is incredible to find one of these woodies this solid! This car has the sliding quarter windows. The tires are close to new, wide white wall. The chrome and pot metal are or will be restored. The bumpers have been re-chromed and are true and straight. The grill will be removed from the car and restored and polished. The tailgate folds down nicely, and the tail light hinges pivot smoothly. The car has , rewired tail lights. The body is a restorer's dream. New, high quality two stage paint. A "woodie" headliner will be installed. They don't come this solid very often. The seats are resctored and have very high quality new up. The wood platform from the front seat to the tailgate is very solid and nice. The dash is complete and will be rewired and restored. The car starts right up, runs and drives. The engine compartment is clean and organized and the engine has been restored. Very little, if any, mechanical work is needed as far was we know and it has a rebuite trans and brakes. It is complete under the hood. Sales price includes clear california. Title and new plates and one year of registration paid for. _______________________________________________________________________stock motor and trans for the car, in excellent condition. The brakes are been 100 percent rebuilt. Metal work/rust repair done . The car has a new wood kit built by mr. Ramon of american automotive woodworking and fit to the car. Value of the woodkit is $10,000 and fit to car is $2,500. 00the car has excellent tires and wheels. New re-chromed hardware on rear hatch all new stock wood interior panels on the car. Inner window surrounds blasted primed and painted. Each wood set is produced with only the highest quality hard rock, east coast, hand selected ash or maple for the body, we use 8 ply marine grade birch ply for the panels.
